The Natioanl Association of Clean Water (NACWA) has awarded Sam McGhee for his many contributions to the Association. Sam has played a vital role in the strategic direction, financial health, and overall success of the organization.

Gold Award

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) has awarded the Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties its Gold Award for the calendar year 2016. Joint Meeting has won, having previously earned the honor in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016.

Silver Award

In addition to the Gold Award, Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties has also attained eleven Silver Awards beginning in 1993-2000, 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2015. The Silver Award recognizes facilities that have had fewer than five NJDEP permit violations in a calendar year.

Platinum Award

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) has awarded the Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties its Platinum Award for the calendar year of 2010.

Elizabeth Fire Department Award

Presented to The Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties for its service to the community and the Elizabeth Fire Department in the year of 1997. Presented with appreciation and gratitude by the Elizabeth Fire Department on May 19, 2006.

Chamber of Commerce Award

Presented to the Joint Meeting in 2004 by the Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce.

Grand Award

Presented by the Consulting Engineers Council of New Jersey for fostering excellence in engineering design on the project Powerhouse-Digester Gas to Electricity, designed by Elson T. Killam Associates.

AEA Award

Presented in 1997 by the Association of Environmental Authorities to certify that the Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties is a regular member in good standing of the AEA of New Jersey, a professional society dedicated to promoting better public understanding of authorities and providing professional leadership and management training to authorities and allied professionals in our industry.

Facility Safety Award
